Goddess Training: Day 20

Costume work only today. Today was all about finalizing how to do some things in my design. Specifically around foundational garments. I had to research how to do something, and I am afraid I will screw it up. I think it is perfectly natural to feel this sense of fear when taking on a new project.

I personally need to feel this fear because it makes me focus on harder on choices and the elements involved. This is by far probably the most expensive costume that will be ever assembled by me. I want it to be perfect. I want to have enough time to invest in it.

I can tell you this, that I am only doing one more commission until next spring, of which is for the lovely spICE. It is nice to know I can make art and take a break from my stuff to finish her elements. Sometimes it is important to take a break so you have rekindled passion for you stuff.

What I worked on today, goes out side of my existing skills. It is an uncomfortable place to be in. I am not sure how I feel about it really. It is important to go outside this comfort level, evolve my skills. I will not put it off and become stressed. I will not wait to have someone else do it.

If you are working on something challenging today, I encourage you to keep trying as well, look at what you are doing not so close up but take a step back and you can achieve the magic you are looking to deliver.
